Netflix is one of the most useful entertainment tools available. This company has revolutionized the movie renting process, and has broken new ground with its popular streaming service. One would think there would be smiles all around, but the truth is much more disappointing.
In a recent blog post, Mark Cuban wrote about Netflix’s services being unsustainable. One point of the argument spoke of Netflix conceding to large movie companies to delay dvd renting for 28 days. He went on to say that wouldn’t be the last time they would pander to large corporations. Why such a dreary outlook? He tends to think TV is the future of entertainment. But with more people going online to get their content, it would seem the opposite is more likely.
Netflix is currently doing a fine job. There are other online resources for tv and movies, like Hulu, and you could always get a Blockbuster account. Netflix isn’t a huge monopoly, yet, and their actions should help businesses in the same field develop other innovative features that enhances the user experience.
