Super Bowl advertisements are legendary. Well, some are legendary. Many people watch the Super Bowl just for the great and ingenious Super Bowl ads. But, with technology being what it is, the Super Bowl can be a hugely lucrative business plug and many companies are taking their campaigns online.

Coke-Cola has had a fantastic idea, using FaceBook to give “friends” a sneak peak at its Super Bowl ad. Their Facebook page is currently the most popular. And what a fantastic idea? It’s as easy as saying, “Hey man, did you see the Coke ad on their Facebook page?”, leading to word of mouth advertisement, which is still quite lucrative.

Doritos is also using the internet to advertise. They are sponsoring a “Crash the Super Bowl” contest like last year. This will give them great advertising, while helping with the cost of the million dollar 30-second Super Bowl ads.

And of course there is YouTube. Their “Ad Blitz” hosts the ads after the big game, allowing advertisers to continue their success with the ads. Advertising for the Super Bowl is great if you want to get your brand out there. Just make sure you have a boat load of money to sink into your commercial, oh and it better be funny.
