Odd? Yes. Useful? Yes. Worth purchasing? Yes, if you want a new speaker system and have a need for a bit of flair. The design is much more compact than its sister, the award winning B&W Zeppelin speaker. The Zeppelin Mini does a great job at audio output as well. Macworld writes, “The speaker system makes use of key technology such as Nautilus, Flowport, that combines with digital advances such as Digital EQ to provide a clean, room filling sound along with quality base levels. The sound also benefits from new DSP-intensive projects such as the in-car system developed for the new Jaguar XJ says the company.” This speaker system has a USB connection that allows the iPod analogue output to be bypassed. The docking arm also swivels. It is nice enough that is may be worth your time, and money.
